With limited emphasis on verbiage, music from this Danish duo is entirely about its Jesus & Mary Chain, shoegazer sound.  Opener "Recharge & Revolt"**** pretty much sticks with one idea throughout, but when the first chords are major pop announcement it's an idea I can enjoy for just long enough. Guitars on "War In Heaven" are similarly impressive, though the song itself is especially short on content - it seems like it has about 10 words, spaced........ out........ for......... emphasis. David Lynch may also be an influence, as two of the songs, "Summer Moon" and album closer "My Time's Up", are the slow, dreamy  surfer songs that pop up every once in a while in Twin Peaks. Unlike the rest of the songs, The Cure may be the primary influence of "Apparitions" and maybe "Forget That You're Young" due the prominent keyboards. The best track by far is the driving "Ignite"*****, which powers along pleasantly until its echo-y, arpeggiated bridge shows what much of the album may have been lacking. But as I said, if it's not about the content as much as it is about the sound, then the album is mostly a success.
