Rolling Stones - Exile on Main St. (2010 bonus disc)

As this isn't a real album I'll just go all down the line:

  • "Pass the Wine (Sophia Loren)" - No doubt the title was a deliberate reference, as it's a lot like "Spill The Wine" (1970), though the horns give it a more obviously Latin point of reference.
  • "Plundered My Soul"**** - The only unfortunate omission from Exile. Would have fit well onto the album but maybe it was too similar to "Tumbling Dice."
  • "I'm Not Signifying" - Not too different from "You Gotta Move" from Sticky Fingers.
  • "Following the River" - Slow, stately gospel that I would take more seriously if Mick Jagger didn't sound so outclassed by the backing vocalists.
  • "Dancing in the Light" - Similar to "Loving Cup" with a little more rock.
  • "So Divine (Aladdin Story)" - Slow rock with riffs lifted from "Paint It Black" giving it a little middle eastern flavor.
  • "Loving Cup" (alternate take) - Slowed down version of original. Tempo leaves room for a lot more guitar noodling but it drags.
  • "Soul Survivor" (alternate take) - Almost identical to released version except for Keef vocal and missing the later overdubs, not destined to be a classic.
  • "Good Time Women" - "Tumbling Dice" a little sped up with different words, not destined to be a classic.
  • "Title 5"**** - Just an instrumental jam but would be considered a classic if it had come out 10 years earlier.
  • "All Down the Line" (alternate take; Japanese bonus track) - Much more in the style of Chuck Berry with a different vocal melody, not destined to be a classic.
