Faces second album starts with the James Brown-like funk-rocker "Bad 'N' Ruin"****, with Ron Wood's frantic guitar riffage balanced by Ian McLagan's ballsy organ and piano. Bookended with an unpolished but enthusiastic Fillmore East cover of Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed"**** (split between Ronnie Lane and Rod Stewart), the rest of side one is filled-out with piano ballad "Tell Everyone", acoustic "Sweet Lady Mary", and Ronnie Lane's wistful, minimal "Richmond." Side two is similarly split between the raucous boogie-rock "Had Me A Real Good Time" and live version of "I Feel So Good" (which eats up almost 9 minutes with audience participation), and the mellow, Lane and Wood-led "On The Beach" and Wood's short slide guitar solo "Jerusalem."
