It's good that the Relics compilation included the hilariously crunchy "Nile Song"***** as it's the only essential track from this 1969 film soundtrack. The opening track recycles the funerary organ theme from "A Saucerful of Secrets" and adds several minutes of ambient noise, while (speaking of recycling) "Ibiza Bar" is a slight variation on "Nile Song" with different lyrics. The only other noteworthy tracks on the album are the acoustic folk ballad "Green Is The Colour" and the keyboard-driven "Cymbaline" (lyrics of the latter are about the novelty of celebrity at the time), both of which were featured in live shows at the time. Except for the jaunty folk "Crying Song", the rest of the tracks are instrumental background filler, in styles including space rock, space-y interludes, mellow blues, and discordant jazz, so the gamut of styles in Pink Floyd's live shows at the time.
