An album full of angular riffage and Gang Of Four Minimalism isn't going to be an easy listen, and opener "The Orchard" sets the template, with layers of interesting riffs, only missing a hook big enough to bring it all together. The minimal production of "Roadside Memorial"**** leaves room for melodic guitars and a chorus that can be sung; "Dishonest Dan Part 2" is another one of the few tracks to be relatively tuneful throughout. "This Incentive"**** wears its Gang Of Four on its sleeve, best described as sound collage over a menacing bass riff, and the complex closing track "Titan" leaves another dark, propulsive riff for several more angular movements (it ends with a hidden live track).
