"Hallucination Bomb" sounds promising enough, but it's hardly on par with classics such as "Crop Circle", "Spacelord", or "Monolithic Baby". "Bored With Sorcery", while at least being energetic, is also forgettable. The album's best moment comes fairly early in "Dig That Hole"**** a big, dumb head-bangin-bullshit rocker, which comes with a heavy helping of Bonham-esque pounding. The similar "When the Planes Fall from the Sky" is pleasingly droning, but the chorus can't close the deal. "The Titan Who Cried Like A Baby" is an atmospheric Nine Inch Nails-styled set piece, while "Time Machine" resembles "Baby Gotterdammerung", a lot. At least the closer "All Outta Nothin" has a cool 60's Nuggets feel. But by the end it sounds like a rocking album where nothing has stuck except a few cool riffs that seem wasted. (Bonus tracks "Watch Me Fade" and "Fuzz Pig" are just ok).
