The EP of the seminal Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album contains alternate versions of album tracks: "Kamera" - a noisy, self-indulgent turd, and a more laid-back country-ish "Handshake Drugs"****, which is nice to hear in this more organic setting prior to A Ghost Is Born. In "Woodgrain", which begins the unreleased songs, Tweedy begins: I'm not a poet and I know it - you said it Jeff, not me - way to phone it in. "A Magazine Called Sunset"**** is kind of a Summer Teeth throwback, showing Jay Bennett's orch-pop influence, the simple, folky "Bob Dylan's 49th Beard"**** recalls Mermaid Avenue, and the title song**** is one of Wilco's better ballads with some nice classical guitar work (wish I had liner notes).
