Opener "Heist" is an amusingly happy narration of a bank robbery; it bookends the album as a acoustic ballad before the band brings its pleasant, Big Star-influenced pop. The minimalist tracks that start the album combine competent songs with respectable skill, though they seem to hide in their own subtlety until the unexpected tonal change in the middle of "Radio". After that, "Romeo"**** rocks an 80's flavor, similar to "867-5309/Jenny", while "Cannibal"**** moves more briskly. "So Young"**** ends the album like it begins, with a minimal folk ballad, picking up the thematic string of album opener "Heist".
