On the swan song album the band has not lost the plot one iota. The angular riffs of Opener "Killed By An Angel"**** and almost comically rigorous "Snibe"**** would fit well on any previous album. When the band backs off in ballads "The Ocean"**** and "Tearing In My Heart", the effect is lush and pretty, though these two pieces also seem sketchy, particularly the latter. "Fool In The Photograph" has the modal middle eastern touches of the previous album that remind me of Jane's Addiction, but they are less-pronounced on the rest of the album. "Disappear"**** also has a drone, though the piano seems a concession to pop appeal."Faces In Disguise"**** is full dream-pop immersion, while the arpeggiated chorus of "Television" has decidedly 80's tendencies, like Yes or Van Halen. While the closing title track**** begins fully submerged in dream-pop, it actually navigates several meters seamlessly, including pop piano and a disco drums, while "One"**** includes many dramatic stop-starts in a towering instrumental bridge, fitting for a song that declares "everything and everyone, in the end we all are one, the truth will not be denied" so earnestly.
