There are hooks and talent to be sure, but it's hard to get past Wright's precious vocal delivery. Most songs have a sound similar to Katrina And The Waves fronted by Colin Meloy. They precociously wear their literateness on their sleeves, case in point "Tessellate". The energy is never lacking, and melodic base and guitar lines ring out big hooks, especially "Sixties Remake", but only the super-kinetic "Your English Is Good"**** offsets the twee delivery with locomotive propulsion and the appropriate backing vocals.
