Joan Of Arc - How Memory Works

Dominated by little sound pastiches rather than songs, there are some interesting bits. The eerie angular guitar line of "To-ve Had Two Of" accompanied by strings is one of the highlights, as is the hypnotic "So Open: Hooray!". "Gin & Platonic" is similar but heavy with the screeching vocalizing. "The Life Of Cumulative", "A Name", and "God Bless America" are the discernible band songs, but they never fully coalesce, and the sound experiments aren't even respectable. Ultimately there are some interesting bits, but nothing one needs to return to.
