Opener "Sine Wave" is pleasantly melodic, like a mellowed out NIN instrumental, but is limited to one main idea. "Take Me Somewhere Nice"**** is more indie/emo with strings for color, but this song does go somewhere nice with the minor turn the chorus takes. Some pretty vocals in "Dial:Revenge" give it a 70's lite rock flavor. "You Don't Know Jesus" churns pretty relentlessly/repititively on a G chord theme, like Explosions In The Sky with fewer ideas. "2 Rights Make 1 Wrong" is also enjoyable, but not developed enough to warrant 9:31. These songs do have interesting melodies and textures, but they are too subtle to be noticed or remembered. "Secret Pint" ends the record with a nice stately processional.
