Vivian Girls S/T

4x****
The sound is amateurish, distance-mic-ed, and fun, which sums up opener "All The Time" hurtling past like a basketball team falling down the stairs. "Wild Eyes"**** has an infectious melody and unpolished harmonies that stick. "Going Insane"**** is another song that goes by too fast (1:30) to really come together, though the crazy fills are energetic. "Tell The World"**** is the first song to crack 2 minutes! (it's a whopping 3:37). This one chord fills kind a driving song role with an edgy harmony. The vibe and harmonies of "Where Do You Run To"**** are classic 60's girl group pop, and "Damaged"**** is definitely catchy as well. Though all the songs have exactly the same crappy sound, and the one word "No" is kind of a throwaway, even for this bunch, no song is truly bad, or even unenjoyable, and popping up randomly in a mix they're a welcome stiff breeze.
