1x****
As an opener "Hello London" feels kind of like it's pulling punches compared to the full-on intensity of Sweetheart Dealer, but maybe that's the point. "City Noise" opens up a bit more, and "Bummer" (Ba Ba Ba-Ba) wants to be on the radio. The sound is more polished, especially Jessika's singing and lyrics, but these are predictable power-chord songs born of Evanescence, though "Cahuegnga" is more eerie and little more complex musically. "Manorexic"**** does have cool dueling guitar texture in the verses. The back end of the album has a little more of the old high school band naivete and energy, namely "Like A Killer" and "Caribou And Cake", but the closing title song is appropriately all brooding and atmosphere.
