Roger Waters - The Pros & Cons Of Hitch Hiking

Roger Waters may be one of the most important artists of all time. Roger Waters may have a gift for narrative; but just because it's a good narrative doesn't mean it needs to be made into a song; not when the melodies are shoehorned so awkwardly into the narrative; and not when the production has all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, the unholy spawn of 80's pop and Broadway. Like we're listening to a fucking opera here. Also, just because you throw in a Dobro doesn't make it blues. Just because there is a saxophone doesn't make it jazz. Also more than one song features a variation of the intro riff to The Wall. I understand that Roger Waters is a musician, so naturally music is what he will create. But this should have been presented in a different format. This is corny.
