Parts and Labor - Mapmaker

The album's sound is consistent throughout: droning chords, squeals and buzzes, and distorted, usually frantic drums. The vocals are similar to the bellowing of Interpol. "Long Way Down" is kind of an exception with the better vocalist and a bit more active instrumentation. "Knives and Pencils"**** has a couple of the more memorable hooks, but most songs completely run together, and though somewhat melodic, the constant buzzsaw and siren flavor of the instrumentation is offputting enough that the songs are difficult to enjoy except in small doses.
