5x****
Not only are there 5 great songs, that's 5 out of 5. "By The Mark"**** opens with a martial intensity that does not let up, including the solo freak-out and Black Sabbath solo near the end. "Eyes In Disguise"**** takes almost 4 minutes to build up momentum, but explodes into a space jam that kicks Deep Purple's ass, while "Quiet Babies Astray In A Manger"**** like a more-focused Hawkwind. The riffs of closing "Maudie Shook"**** gallop frantically up and down the fretboards. Though "Longdance"****, like most of the songs, partially resembles Sabbath, in a way each song surpasses its influences with sprawling structures that open up rather than pile on the core idea, usually an amazing riff that leaves you wanting more after 6-minutes.
