Like Explosions In The Sky with lots of screaming, the dominant sound is slow, heavy, and melodic. The long opener "The Road Of Winds The Water Builds"**** is two cinematically dramatic parts. "All That's Left Has Gone To Sleep" in contrast is fairly hectic, and not strong melodically. "Thousand Scars" is similar to the first. Unfortunately the screaming on these three songs is distracting, to the extent that the songs would have been better as instrumental. "Fading Vision" makes a good closer with a quiet arpeggio and simple percussion.
