The Go! Team - Proof Of Youth (+bonus disk)

6x****
Follows similar formula of Thunder Lightening Strike, which I have no real problem with. Most songs have the same super-distorted bass and 'wall-of-sound' drums, and cheerleader vocals, though there is a bit more actual singing on this one, such as "I Never Needed It Now So Much"****, and the melodies are straight out of the Jackson Five or the first Rocky. Highlighting individual songs isn't very instructive with The Go! Team, and I wouldn't listen to the whole album in one sitting, but they make ipods so you don't need to. "Grip Like A Vice"**** starts a bit noisier than usual, but then "Doing It Right"**** is one of the most melodic. Other standouts are "Fake ID", Universal Speech", and "Keys To The city". Huge melodies pop up on pretty much every song, making them memorable very quickly. The same cannot be said of the bonus disk, which can be skipped.
